The Importance of Proper Positioning in Schools

All school chairs in Ireland and the UK must slope backwards by at least four or five degrees. Children are sitting on two rounded bones called the sit bones, which is part of the pelvis. When you put a rounded bone on a chair that slopes backwards, the whole pelvis and hip joint become out of commission. The children have no chance except to bend their backs as they're working at the desk.
