The Four Kingdoms of Chapter 2
Many scholars support a second century b c dating for the book. They identify the kingdoms with babylon, media, persia and greece. The little horn is identified as antiochus, the fourth epiphanes. Understood this way, the chapter presents itself on the surface as sixth century c prophetic literature. But it is really second century bc psedepigraphical literature, not really written by daniel.
