Are We Sick of Asceticism?
I think we're on the cusp of maybe seeing a new thing that sort of emerged, where people are just so sated that they're sick. They're just sick of it. And can we speak to these people? Do we have any way of encouraging them? Are we in a position to say, you know, you're onto something here without like endorsing the strange stuff we're talking about here? I do think there is is a right place for where the God of the gospel and transcendence breaks into what is otherwise an eminent frame of our time.
