A Poem About Transcendence
By the end of this poem we're gonna end up with sort of disavowing becoming a political party unto yourself right so even though Dante was involved in politics he had strongly held opinions about how Florentine government should relate to larger powers. The first one I'm going to use is Alan Mandelbaum's fully bound edition of all three you get it from every man's library I have really enjoyed it. Catherine will recommend her preferred translation and we're also next week in a deal a little bit with Anthony Esslin's translation. make in Vitanda Lova um and that's where we are we are nowright? We'll start getting more into uh this whole divine comedy before next week
