Sweden, Finland and Turkey's Bid to Join NATO
Sweden's new Prime Minister is meeting with the Turkish President Erdogan today in an effort to clinch Turkish approvals for Sweden's bid to join NATO. James Kilner: I think that there will be a settlement that is eventually reached between Sweden, Finland and Turkey that will allow them to become NATO members. And this was meant to be the complete opposite of what would occur in Putin's planning. He thought the NATO would be weak; he thought the Western resolve would crumble. So we're talking a lot recently about hypotheticals and things like that, but this is concrete stuff that's happening. These will be the bullet points in textbooks that people study one day.
