I have a strange history with Eletia Roar Wacker mainly because she is a filmmaker I have admired but I am possibly like the only person in the universe who found Happy as Lazaro borderline insufferable. The entire film is so improbable and yet comes together to me in such an amazingly grounded way that you can genuinely believe that this character, this whatever it is, he's a British ex part in an increasingly grimy linen suit. He gives off major Elliot Gould vibes at times and he's a tomb raider in Italy. This is an absolutely crazy character. And yet it's something about the way that Rorwacker shoots and she shoots with this incredible dynamism
