Is There a Tricontinol Root System in Semitic Languages?
Tricontinol roots are composed of three consonants and by interchanging the vowels that are just first among them you can get different derived different meanings from them. I was thinking about languages like the Semitic languages where they have these and I don't know any so my knowledge of them is very very limited but basically I think that there's no reason for you not to use a system like that to generate vocabulary with an analytic syntax.
