The Importance of Carbon Neutralization
The idea that you can emit and then somehow offset or cancel it out is a con job. 90 to 95% of any carbon neutral claims are actually from what we call avoided emissions. So I build a qualified power station, I emit one ton, and then I pay someone else who also earns a qualifiedPower Station for not emitting as much. And if that sounds weird, that's because it is weird. We've forgotten how absurd the entire situation is; people just keep emitting anyway.
