"Tocqueville" is so great writing and what we all have to do is that you have to kick dirt over the fact that he's asleep. The audience has to be asleep too, right? So even though we're like, he's a little arrogant, you also relate to the idiotic notes he's getting. "I feel like such a rookie mistake to announce your character's flaws in broad strokes and primary colors in your first act," she says of Groundhog Day.
