The Social Ecological Model
The study shows the pervasive nature of these biases and how entrenched they are in society. And you talk about something called the social ecological model, which says there are several layers to a person's development. You're surrounded by social influences that press in on you and change your behavior - legal, cultural, all of these things are shaping your behavior. We found this frame work very useful for that because anyone alive today has only known a world where cars come first. That's what I would argue is happening in the street.
