On Free Choice of the Will by Avodius
In On Free Choice of the Will, Augustin argues that God is not to blame for any evil we see in the created world. Avodius' question: Why did God give us free will if it leads to such horrendous results? He asks Augustine why a good and omnipotent being would allow evil to happen. We are prideful when we bestow on created things, the esteem that is due to God alone.
