The Unconditional Election of Calvinists
Arminius believed that Christ died and satisfied the wrath of God on behalf of every human being, both elect and non-elect. He didn't believe in irresistible grace. In his own writings, he says that he wavered between believing a true born-again, justified believer would persevere until life's in and be saved or whether they could apostatize from the faith and lose their salvation.
