The Bible Is Asking for Our Honesty With Regard to Our Stories

Abram and Genesis 12 left everything to go into the land that God was calling him. This is an ancient Near East document which means this is an honor culture. You don't tell stories about your family at all. And yet part of what the Scripture is saying is that if you are going to honor someone you also have to be honest about the stories that you have been around.
