Jay Z is retiring at 33. Maybe you'll love me when I fade to black. That's a line from what Jay will call his final album, which he released the same month as this concert. But just because Jay is retiring as a rapper doesn't mean he's walking away from the music business entirely. The salary is something like $10 million a year. Def Jam is willing to give Jay the rights to his master recordings.
