The Division of Human Beings
This division into mankind, so to speak, into the rest about to be rescued and the unrescuable seems to me something new. It's not simply a question of practically practical convenience. We know that these people can't be rescued in any case; therefore they might as well be despatched with all the rapidity and all humanity possible. Because this is the only way in which humanity can advance. And this gives a huge impotus to a comparatively feeble and comparatively suffering class. This represents the rest of the world as, in a sense, doomed, impotent,. unable to resist, not worth thinking about.
