How to Clean the Ground for Your Potatoes

When the potato plant is flowering, there are some harvestable tubers below. Chop the top growth off first and compost it to make good compost. Early potatoes will keep growing on your main crop plants all summer long. If you store them in a dark pot or shed then they won't sprout right away. You don't want that unsprouted left over for next year's crops.
