Theological Knowledge: A Transition From Savage to Theological

When you encounter a wise person, like when you encounter a contemplative, there's something about the way that that person gazes on reality which kind of renews you in your own humanity. And I think that we find it supremely liberating freeing when we encounter somebody who says the things about the things in a way that corresponds to our experience. So then when you transition into the theological, we're talking about a kind of knowledge, which is more like sensing than it is like reasoning. When you have this experiential knowledge, it's like you abide with it. It's because the reality has entered into living communion with you and your tendency has been shaped by it.
