The Importance of Identifying With Yourself
When we grow up our toys just get bigger and we cry because I lost my... External possessions. But there are many other things apart from possessions. For example social position, how others see you. Roles they play. Opinions they hold. Your nationality and your race and your religion... It's fine to identify with those things but if that's all you have then you are lost in a surface reality which always turns into becomes painful and turns into conflict.
