Funding Disparity for Students with Special Educational Needs

This chapter explores the funding differences for students with special educational needs (SCN) in preschool and primary schools, highlighting the lower satisfaction with support services during primary school. The chapter discusses the budget allocation for ASEAN children in both preschool and school-age phases, and proposes government initiatives to support individuals and caregivers of ASEAN students in Hong Kong. It also emphasizes the need for addressing caregivers' mental health and offers suggestions for integrating support services seamlessly.
