The Judgement of Horus and Seth

The story goes that Sutek, Seth, envied the rule of Osiris and wanted it for himself. He played a trick on his brother, locking him into a chest and throwing it into the sea. In some versions, Sutek cut Osiris into many pieces and tossed them into the Nile River. When he did this, Sutek upended the natural order of the world. The gods met in council to decide who should be the new king. Both Horus and Sutek put forward their claims.
