There was a very real threat of nuclear war in the mid 60s. In 1968, all the psychedelic colors turned to black and white as reality began to kick in. It was in 1968 that civil rights leader Martin Luther King was assassinated. A few years later, Time puts out this cover with Jesus revolution on the cover.
