Using Correct Grammar and Punctuation in Writing

Students are taught how to fix run on sentences. They learn that when you have a run on, it's not like you have to abandon the ideas altogether. Run on sentences can usually be corrected by using the correct punctuation or including a conjunction. Students get a sense of how to actually spot the run ons and figure out strategies for fixing them.
