Nicolaus M. Thinke says that if our natural instinct is to exert our power out, and then we're put in a situation as slaves where we can't do that any more,then we end up with this self laceration. We end up exerting our power back into ourselves, creating these inner worlds. The whole man becomes interesting when he becomes subjugated by other men. It's the men who are subjugated by the blond beasts who start to develop intelligence and souls because they have no one else the savage.
