You add things that make sense, and then it builds out. You elong to memory in a relatively efficient way. If you add things that don't make sense, that's actually quite inefficient. But sometimes there's no getting away from it, and then you have to do rote memorization. And so this differece etween understanding and not understanding, basically is is what he's talking about in terms of sense.
