Shan mc mekin is a professor of history at bard university and the author of stallin's war, a new history of world war too. He thinks that when it comes to the telling of history, the story tends to settle into these pctable grooves. And so we end up with heroic narrative of the good war. But i think most people are kind of eagerly aware that perhaps it wasn't all quite as clean and neat as we're often told in the dial. A lot of the history just got either kind of swept under the rug or forgotten.
