School Uniforms Are a Battleground for the Conflict of Interests
In Interwar Britain a lot of schools were making a really dedicated effort to try and foster a sense of collectivity and unity. School house systems are introduced, school magazines aren't as rare as you might think. But it's much harder to gauge the impact on children because obviously just because they belong to a school house or they wear a school cap doesn't necessarily mean that children then feel a loyalty or identity to school.
