The Humility of the Mediator
The way we look at God makes a huge difference to how we understand ourselves in relation to the world in God. Augustine couldn't fully appreciate the beauty of the Catholic faith until he got some intellectual problems ironed out. If we're not vigilant about loving God with our minds, then we're going to slip into the default mode of our world and that's materialist.
