Shekar Gupta was born in Sahara, a small town 250 kilometers away from Patna. He went to school there in a Fendi medium school until he was in his class fifth. "I had no relatives there except for my parents" But it was a happy childhood, I would say, a small family.
He is an IAS officer who has just co-written a book about Gandhian social workers in Vidarbha.
