The Importance of Regular Periods

The ovaries are controlled by the brain. You can get abnormalities in the production of FSH and LH from pechuitary tumors. It's not premature ovarian insufficiency, but there are some times where the brain is not making these hormones from birth. In that setting, women have a brain cause of their ovaries not working; they can still get pregnant because we can stimulate their ovaries.
