The Wounded Child Self State

The idea here is that we recognize all of these various roles. So that eventually they don't have to play their parts anymore. They are able to sort of merge these parts and they morph into something that is more adaptive. And guess who comes to the fore? The one who starts really controlling and being in charge of one's life becomes our essential self, the true self. We become as powerful as we were always capable of becoming because we finally recognize that we are innately divine ourselves.
