How would you even know what to look for unless the kid tells you? I think some of the things that we found that are things like chronic absence, inquiring about what's going on in that student's life. That's where the liaisons can come in and play a really important role. Teachers need to know who they go to within the school system if they have a student who might be experiencing homelessness so that they can get them connected to the kinds of educational and in community supports that they need.
