The Politics of Soft Power
A painting may start at 10K, but like a $200 shirt while expensive is something you might buy one a year. The philanthropic model when the paintings are super expensive that it creates longer timelines within which you can work. And so I think if for whatever degree, soft power is shaping the political crisis that's unfolding, we need properly resourced intellectual think tanks to unravel what culture seems to be doing to exacerbate the political situation.
