What Happened Next at Prynesdae?
Lucius O'Fella, the man in charge of the siege, orders all the residents out onto the field in front of the city that had been harboring the young Marius for so long. He separates the people out into Romans, citizens of Prynesdae, and Samnites. And he waits for orders from the Proconsul. Salah arrives and immediately orders all the Samnites executed. One of the people he spared, it said, was his generous host long ago when he was raising troops for the war with Ugartha. But this man declined Salah's mercy and chose to die alongside his countrymen.
