i love that the text itself obscures her, you know, that's happening for plot reasons. People make themselves small when they don't want to be seen. Murdering chickens is something that she is being forced to do, but it is al could be a cry for help, and that nobody is seeing yet. I think this question of, like, wish between shame and fear also shows why fred and george's technique in this case doesn't work. It takes someone just taking a bit more time and actually giving a person the space and safety to reveal what elses is going on.
