What Are the Little Footnotes on the Sides?
Every page is filled with these marginal notes and commentary. And everything is helping the next generation of scribes when the uscript wears out, so that people won't make mistakes. Says they as they passe it on till they counted letters, they counted words, they counted verses,. They divided the text into groups, into bits and so on. These guies were out of control with their care of the biblical text. But it does beg the question, right? It gets us back 15 hundred years from where we stand right now, but got a pretty decent gap here to the making of the books of the hebrew bible.
