The Difference Between Short and Long Term Memory
Our brains are constantly receiving stimulation from our environment and manipulating information. This causes nerve cells to talk to each other, vear their tiny connections called sinapses. It's these sinapses that are thought to be at the heart of memory of a nerve cell or nuron. The more we practise something, the more specific sinapses related to that skill are used. And if there's one thing you remember om this make it that sleep is massively important for memory consolidation. So it's worth it to try and sleep enough if you're trying to remember something.
