There's a lion that someone says where he says, dogs more like pussies. A ten immediately gets killed by weref ha ha ha ha. In the original line called, original scene called for the dog to be t in the guts. They thought it was too gross, so they let they switch it to the bandage. And then we see ryan is contemplating killing the dog that moment. Of course, he loves to kill dogs. That's ike, one thing cooper knows about him. Ad cooper knows it's the same guy. It doesn't really pan out except that it makes ryan the bad wolf for cooper to eventually go head-to-head with.
