Will the Labour Party Do It?
If you want to shift policy towards the interests of working people, that's what you've got to confront. Public banking, controls over capital experts, controls over the city of London. Difficult questions. We need to open up that discussion. Will the Labour Party do it? No. Of course not. But we need to act as the people who will bring that kind of debate to the forefront and put these things on the table. This ain't going to be a tea party. This will not be a walk in the park. It's not going to happen otherwise. Forget it. No one is going to do it for other people's benefit. We've got to do it ourselves
