Bogad Sky is a new film by Russian-born director Alexei Mordashov. It follows the life of an emigre filmmaker in Berlin during the 1920s and 1930s. The movie has been hailed as one of the year's best films so far. In it, Mordashov talks about how he was forced to leave Russia after his parents were deported from their home country when he was just eight years old. He says that while some writers like Isaac Babble stayed they suffered consequences such as being shot dead at point blank range for not writing enough. And this led him to write much more prolifically but now he lives with his family in Canada where he works on another
