The Power of Complexity in Blackmail
The character of Barnes could be a little bit earnest. He's a little bit too, you know, by the book kind of guy. We can justify and give ourselves reasons for doing blackmail things if we go, well, I'm doing it for the greater good. So that's a way of toning down the transgressions of Barnes. And now the victim starting to have, youknow, complexity to him as opposed to being a straw man who's just beaten senseless by a psychopath.
