The Importance of Evidence in Criminal Trials
Trial is the hardest thing to do because just think about it. Because of the CSI effect, sometimes with juries, if you don't have all the things they're used to seeing on TV, like DNA that comes back in one in 100 billion or a lack of certain physical evidence, they may not rule in your favor. A judge obviously knows the law and would only apply the law beyond a reasonable doubt. And in this case, it may be the best course of action for the prosecution.
