The Tobacco Industry Think Tanks

In 2007, UCS issued a report that revealed Exxon Mobile had spent at least $16 million on a network of more than 40 anti-regulation think tanks and advocacy groups to launder its message. Just last year, the company spent $1.9 million on 15 climate science denier groups,. The goal here is to make it seem like there is a lively debate about whether climate change is dangerous - which they know is not true. But I'm also worried it'll be of the people that we like are going to do people. That's part of the problem.
