Sarah Matheny was swept up in the wake of Joseph's pseudo-admission, targeted by an angry public that felt they'd been duped. As Detective Stecko looked into Sarah's disappearance, the fact that Joe's whereabouts were also unknown, concerned him. At someone from the forums, targeted them both, Stecko was able to locate Joe through his cell phone. He allowed her to lead the conversation and all he did was verify some of the things that she said.
