In the run up to the u.N. Climate change conference, cop 26, we're looking back at how the world woke up to global warming. We start in the late 19 fifties, when a young american scientist began one of the most important projects in establishing the existence of climate change. Charles keeling started recording levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere on the slopes of the wor largest volcano in hawaii. In two thousand and 12 i spoke to his widow and son about what he uncovered.
