The Importance of Error Monads
The goal was for all of the exception handling overhead to be put when to only happen when the exception is thrown. In Python, there are like in the for loop, they use an exception to indicate that you're in at the end of a for loop. Well, we'd never want to do that in in C++ because all of the overhead is on exception handling. And so once it's set up, you have this nice syntax that is much more understandable than if you had.
