There's a kernel or very partial truth that as goods are produced at more mass scales, there are economies of scale. But the problem with ecomonerous vision is that it doesn't account for much more volatile pricing in the commodities markets. And if those are getting more expensive, or if they're just volatile and unpredictable, then you're not going to see this sort of neat, secular decline in the price of a battery.
