The shareable link feature is only on the standard tier for Bastion. You can create a link that you can send people directly and they don't have to navigate through the portal. This takes them directly to an Azure Bastion login page where they can just enter in username and credentials to log into that server. So yeah, I guess you have to manage these links a little bit once you created them but it might put some lifecycle management around them.
