The Ghost of My Dad

My dad told us that he actually caught someone on a security camera trying to break into his house. That seriously freaked me out. The whole time I've been sitting there instantly playing games sipping stolen scotch there had been a guy trying to get into our house maybe only six or seven feet below me. If I had bothered to look out the window at any point and directly downward I'd have locked eyes with the guy. He must have smelled my cigarette smoke knowing someone was home and it just didn't bother him in the least bit. It struck me how evil and predatory human beings can really be. Just thinking about it now gives me shivers.
