Energy Security Is a Driver of Change
Most energy companies are saying that energy security considerations are actually accelerating their transition. We're going to see a record amount of renewables built worldwide in 2022, partly in response to those high prices. So I think yes, there is hardship associated with high prices, but it is a driver of change. And in this case, it is going to drive some more faster near-term change into renewables at the same time as there is some operational shift towards coal.
