Putin Is Not Doing That Putin Is Striking the Absent From This Kind of Domestic Politics

This wasn't actually part of some grand conspiracy what this really said is two things in my opinion first of all it shows us again just how the Putin system works that you know everyone has their own areas of responsibility their own assets and yet it's a very fluid system. People constantly can and do try to extend those little fiefdoms to acquire new assets and new responsibilities from others and also to attack those whom they regard as competitors now on one level the disparity between Wagner and the Ministry of Defense is massive but on the other hand the fact that Wagner has had some sort of high profile successes does represent an alternative source of a fighting man for organized state violence.
